Alabama Overlanding
Badge of Honor Trip 2025

A Journey Worth Remembering
Every adventure is a collection of moments carved from the miles we travel. As we packed our gear and set our sights on Alabama's Badge of Honor trails, we were eager to craft new memories. The excitement grew when we connected with Brandon, a fellow jeeper from a local group, who would be joining us for this journey. We set off east, ready to embrace the challenges the trails had in store.
Hawk Pride Mountain Off-Road Park
Our first stop was Hawk Pride Mountain Off-Road Park, where we set our sights on the Badge of Honor trail, Uphill Both Ways. It lived up to its name—tricky in spots and demanding the right lines—but we got it done! That feeling of accomplishment set the tone for the whole weekend. After snagging our badge and exploring a few more trails, we headed out to get some rest at a hotel closer to our next stop: Stoney Lonesome Off-Road Park.
Stoney Lonesome OHV Park
The next morning, we hit the trails early and wasted no time tackling the badges. First up was Switchback to Who’s Your Daddy #500, followed by Trail #404. Both gave us a good mix of challenge and fun, and we added two more badges to the collection.
After Brandon said his goodbyes and headed back to Arkansas, we stayed behind to push a little further. That’s when things got wild. We climbed Little Moab and took on Baldie Trail. Both demanded patience, determination, and a little bit of line-changing, but the payoff was worth it. Chris’s excitement at the top of Baldie said it all!
One of the highlights of the trip wasn’t just our climbs but the way Chris encouraged others to give the trails a shot. When some drivers were ready to back down, he pushed them to try—and they did. That kind of confidence is contagious and makes the off-road community stronger.
Journey Home
Before heading home, we made a quick stop in Tupelo, Mississippi for a geocache right off the freeway—because what’s an adventure without a little geocaching thrown in?
This trip was one for the books: new friends, three Badge of Honor trails, and a couple of wild climbs that tested both Jeep and driver. Between the camaraderie, the challenges, and the victories, it was everything we love about off-roading rolled into one weekend.
10/10—highly recommend making the trip.
